Lexxy’s End of Act 5 Assets Part TWO!
As you can see, these are all very bare bones drawings on super plain backgrounds. That’s because I wasn’t given any context or environments to put them in; Andrew only gave me the minimum of what I needed to get the drawings 95% of the way there, after which he modified and added to them what he needed. I had NO idea what they’d be up to, nor did I really know what kind of expressions to put on their faces, so these aren’t exactly the way you’ll remember them from the flash. I also didn’t have any time to make them pretty. At that point, speed was more important than polish.
Not much to say about these otherwise, though! The only extra info I can give you is that second one (the closeup of her, which was used for the planet juggling sequence) is made up of several parts. There’s three positions for each arm, with each with hand and arm on separate layers, and the eyes are actually on a layer behind the main portrait so he could move them around as she did her spacey thing. I figured she’d be casting a spell or something, so imagine my surprise when I saw the flash!
So there you have it! I’m really thankful to have been able to participate in such an amazing collaborative effort. It’s really rewarding to see it all come together in the end, and to know people appreciate all the work that went into it. SO MANY FEELINGS about the COMIC and the FANDOM! I dunno about you guys, but I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Also, in case you missed it this morning, I’m working on a group picture of all the kids in their godtier forms! I’ll actually be painting it properly when I have time (with their correct color schemes and a background and such), but their text colors are so iconic I thought it would be nicer to do a little callback to my DANCE piece rather than post a plain black and white sketch.
Not sure when I’ll have time to work on it next, but I’ll try to stream it when I do! Hopefully by then I’ll have my verified channel back so we don’t have to worry about viewer limit :c
